Vanessa is 18. She got pregnant at the age of 16 and withdrew from school to take care of her baby.

Since then she has faced opposition from some of her friends. These friends would laugh and mock her for being a teen mum. When her child was a bit older and started walking she thought of going back to school.

As part of new strategies, Vanessa started going to a certain youth club in her area. The youth club has been a great place for her motivation, learning from some friends who has passed through her lane, and maximizing chances of connections for the benefit of her school.

She now speaks in different youth clubs to fellow girls around her village to avoid pregnancies since it derails one’s future.
