For a long time girls education has not been valued or prioritized. Not only in Malawi but other parts of the world. Sometimes society believes that’s girls education should not be valued because their husbands will look after them.

Its assumed that the role of a woman is to take care of the household. This has put girls at a disadvantage. Therefore, there have been efforts to change this. .

Parents, friends and communities are now doing their part by supporting girls to go to school and have the same opportunities as boys, and remember in the Zathu drama, I am supportive of Mphatso and Annetti going back to school and their band mates are also supportive of them
